Although a miss turn when driving is often frustrating and a waste of time especially when you’re rushing, sometimes, a miss turn could also turn out dangerous and scary.

It was reported yesterday (December 25) that a car had plummeted from the ceiling and crashed into the second floor of the Star City Mall in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

According to a post by the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, the Sabah Fire Department had received a call at around 10:56am, alerting them to the incident.

The Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Station deployed personnel and machinery to the scene.

Apparently, the driver of the Toyota Vios had missed a turn and crashed into a wall on the third floor and fallen through to the second floor.

The driver and passenger managed to exit the car on their own, suffering only minor injuries and have been sent to the hospital via an ambulance.

Fortunately, no one was on the second floor during the incident when the car had abruptly plunged to the second floor.

It was also fortunate that the car had avoided plunging all the way to the ground floor, which might have resulted in further injuries if that had happened.

We hope that the victims recover quickly. Take this as a reminder to always be aware of your surroundings when driving.
