Just 4 days ago, Muhammad Nadhzir would have never expected that any of his social media posts would go viral.
But thanks to the power of good samaritans and the internet, his Facebook post that advertised his laksa business received an overwhelming amount of traction, so much so that Nadhzir had to take down the ad.
In the original post, Nadhzir included a photo of him holding up a signboard that says he is selling laksa to buy Raya necessities for his wife and kids.
In the ad that was posted on PUTRAJAYA DELIVERY Facebook page, he wrote that selling the laksa was his “last effort for the needs of his children and wife for this Aidilfitri”.
The heartwarming and pure driving force of his business prompted people to buy laksa from him but this also came at a price as Nadhzir’s WhatsApp was bombarded with messages of orders.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Nadhzir says that he has collectively had over 1000 customers since the FB post went viral.
He sells each pack of laksa for RM6 and orders have been filled up till the end of Ramadhan!
Some customers have also bought packs of his laksa to be given free of charge to those in need.
Fulfilling their requests, Nadhzir has been giving out free laksa since 2 days ago and will continue to do so today at around 4pm at Masjid Raja Haji Fisabilillah, Cyberjaya.
Nadhzir said “all hell broke loose” after his post went viral as he is an introvert who is not used to dealing with a large amount of messages all at once. Moreover this is his own small business which is run by only him and his wife.
He says he “has never been so busy” in his life. When asked by WORLD OF BUZZ if he has anything else he’d like to to share, he spoke more candidly and told us his story of how he actually suffers from anxiety and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
“I’d like to share that most people don’t really take mental health seriously..I don’t know why but it’s a taboo topic in Malay culture and especially the topic of mental health amongst men.”
He goes on to urge those who suspect that they have mental health issues to seek professional help.
Nadhzir wisely says that the precious things in life is not about material things like money.
“Find your happiness, try your best.”
For more information about his food business, check his Facebook (Muhammad Nadhzir Nazrin) and TikTok, @nadhzirnazrin where he often goes Live at 10:30pm as an update of the orders.
We’re so proud of you, Nadhzir and we’re so glad that you’re able to power through mental health issues. We commend you for trying your best in caring for your beloved family <3
