The family is seeking an apology from the driver
Following this incident, the family of the deceased 4-year-old boy has since called for the driver of the Perodua Alza to come forward, meet with them and offer an apology.
Based on a report by NST, the boy’s grandmother, 52-year-old Ruslina Mambong, shared that the man needs to take responsibility for his actions by at least apologising to the family.

“We have not heard from the driver. He did not come to the hospital to check on my grandson, and until noon today (28 October), he has not visited the family to explain what actually happened,”
“Everyone was focused on my grandson’s condition after the accident and did not pay attention to the driver. We were later informed that he had lodged a police report,” she said.
The boy’s mother also hopes the Perodua Alza driver will make an effort to seek out their family, though she has accepted that nothing can bring her son back.
“There is no use being angry. Everything is over, my son is gone.”
The driver was recently released on police bail
The driver of the Perodua Alza has since been released on police bail after filing a report with the police and providing his statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act for causing death due to reckless or dangerous driving. Should the driver be found guilty, he may face a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail and an RM50,000 fine.
