“A smile is the best accessory you can wear.”

Many Malaysians would be willing to do anything to achieve that perfect smile. For some people, it is even the source of their confidence. This is why getting braces is a very common thing nowadays. But thanks to technology, metal braces are not the only option we have…

Say hello to Zenyum’s Invisible Braces!

If this is your first time seeing or hearing about it, you might be confused as to how it works. We all know that metal braces utilise stainless steel brackets and bind your teeth with metal wires and rubbers, which can be quite painful and uncomfortable.

On the other hand, the Zenyum Invisible Braces are a pair of transparent, medical-grade, BPA-free plastic alternative that serves the same function as traditional braces which is to straighten your teeth gradually by exerting consistent pressure. Unlike metal braces, the Invisible Braces are actually removable! However, dentists would recommend wearing them for 22 hours a day during the treatment duration in order to give your teeth enough time to adjust.

The process to wear Zenyum’s Invisible Braces is also very fuss-free!

  1. Online pre-assessment: Send photos of your teeth to the Zenyum dentists team who will assess whether the Zenyum Invisible Braces treatment is suitable for your teeth (for FREE!).
  2. Dentist consultation: If your teeth are suitable, Zenyum will help to schedule an appointment with their partner clinic where the dentists will perform a full check-up (including x-ray and scans) so they can detect any pre-existing dental issues and treat them first.
  3. 3D plan preview: Afterwards, you will receive a 3D plan so you can have a before-and-after preview of how your teeth will turn out. The best part is that you can even share your feedback on the 3D preview plan and the team will only proceed to the next stage once you’ve approved it. This is one of the perks of opting for Zenyum’s Invisible Braces as this step is not available with metal braces!
  4. First fitting of the braces: Once you’ve approved and made payment, Zenyum will start production for the aligners which will be ready in a few weeks time. Once they’re ready, you can collect them at the clinic and get them fitted by the dentist so they can guide you on how to wear and care for them.
  5. Start your journey: You will be bringing home a full set of aligners to begin your treatment and track your progress via the Zenyum app. You can also submit photos of your teeth on the app where their dentists can monitor and consult you accordingly. Yup, no more frequent visits to the dentist!

Metal vs Invisible braces, which is better?

Of course, we can’t help but compare the invisible braces to the traditional, metal braces. So, we’ve compared the two to find out which type is a better fit:

Metal braces:

  • Requires frequent visits to the dentist (usually monthly).
  • You might get food stuck in between/under the wires which would be a hassle to remove.
  • You’d need to get used to a different method of tooth brushing.
  • There are various side effects such as sore gums, jaw pain, ulcers and tongue cuts.
  • You’d need to get accustomed to how it looks on you.
  • Studies have shown that the average treatment duration is about 36 months.
  • The total cost could reach up to RM18,000.

Invisible braces:

  • You can receive guidance via the Zenyum app which means lesser dentist visits. However, patients can request to meet with the dentist anytime during treatment at no extra cost.
  • You don’t have to worry about eating or tooth brushing as the Invisible Braces can be taken off, as long as you wear them for a total of 22 hours per day.
  • The side effects of wearing the Invisible Braces are significantly less as compared to metal braces.
  • Thanks to its invisible appearance, it will look like you’re not wearing anything at all!
  • The treatment duration could range from three to 15 months (depending on the complexity of your treatment).
  • You can get the Zenyum Invisible Braces starting from only RM5,599 which is up to 70% more affordable than metal braces.

Overall, we think it’s pretty safe to say that the Invisible Braces is the more convenient and effective choice! Not only is it much cheaper, but on average, the Invisible Braces would require a shorter treatment duration than metal braces. And what really sets it apart is the sheer convenience of the process! You will be guided by professional dentists in the comfort of your own home throughout the journey! Sounds awesome! ?

Don’t believe us? Just look at some of Zenyum’s customers who have been loving their new smiles!
