It’s truly saddening to know that Malaysians can’t even hold their tongue when it comes to making lewd comments, especially considering they’re being directed at an INFANT.

So it’s only fair that action be taken against them.

The infant in question is Dr. Amalina’s newborn daughter, as the UK-based Malaysian physician shared on her Twitter page. She recalled how a simple Q&A session on her Instagram account led to topic of female circumcision, and honestly, the way Malaysians are responding to it is simply uncalled for.

It all started when someone had asked her if there were services for female circumcision in the UK.

“My answer: there is none because female circumcision is against the law in the UK,” she wrote.

From this, various Malaysian tabloids then covered it as articles, which caused Malaysians to misinterpret her answer.

“I have never disputed Islamic law, in fact I made a statement that if you are in Malaysia, follow the fatwa and the laws of the country of Malaysia. My statement was then picked up by tabloid media in Malaysia with headlines like this,” she said.

This then opened up an avenue for dirty minds to show themselves shamelessly.

“After these articles came out on Facebook, various ugly, obscene and insulting words were released,”

“I would not be affected if those words were directed at me, but they went beyond the limit when they made obscene statements against my innocent child. Please leave my daughter alone,” she added.

Dr. Amalina has since shared that she will be taking action against those involved.

“For everyone’s information, I am in the process of taking legal action so that it becomes a lesson to all. I also want to rebuke article writers who like to make clickbait headlines or take trivial stories from my Instagram to sensationalise and encourage fights between Muslim Malays and slander each other,”

“Where are your ethics? Even the comment section has no moderation. I hope this matter gets the attention of the authorities. Assalamualaikum and thank you,” she wrote.

We genuinely hope that Dr. Amalina and her adorable baby girl get the justice they deserve.
