Drug trafficking is a massive issue at airports as stories people becoming unwitting victims as drug mules continue to rise.
We are sure you have heard of stories where drugs were concealed in ground coffee, peanut butter, and spices to disguise drugs from sniffer dogs — but it does not work!
Taking to Facebook, VideoMalaysia shared a video showing how drugs are smuggled by expertly concealing it in an unassuming container of beef rendang.
“This video exhibits how beef rendang is used to smuggle in drugs. We advise those travelling out of Singapore/Malaysia to Indonesia to be wary of people who require your assistance carrying any form of package.”
The video showed packets of what is believed to be heroin placed inside beef cutlets. An officer uses a fork and knife to dissect them to reveal their illegal stuffing. Authorities are clearly in the know of tactics used by smugglers trying to import drugs into the country.
We want to warn you that the offence for those who are caught smuggling drugs is a mandatory death sentence!
Under section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act, those in possession of 15 g or more heroin and morphine; 1,000 g or more opium (raw or prepared); 200 g or more cannabis; ad 40 g or more cocaine will receive the mandatory death sentence.
Surely you value your life more than helping people out a stranger the airport, right?
