The national women’s team are a force to be reckoned with when they put in their best performance at the Singapore Open Track & Field Championships.

Despite putting a stellar performance, the quartet of  Zaidatul Husniah Zulkifli, Azreen Nabila Alias, Nur Aishah Rofina Aling, and Nur Afrina Mohamad Rizal, were made to face the ‘silent treatment’, as pointed out by this netizen on social media.

Here is a video of our quartet in action.

“Team Malaysia went into the event with no signs of approval from the crowd. Then, this happened.”

Finishing with a time of 45.7 seconds to clinch gold, it was Nur Aishah’s sprint in the final leg that caught everyone by surprise.

Netizen commenting on the Tweet expressed their pride and joy, having witnessed just how lethal the athletes were in the event.

“Really great run Malaysia!”

Let’s hope that our athletes will carry this momentum to the SEA Games, which will happen soon.
