The crime rate in Malaysia is definitely not going down man!
Just yesterday, a dead body stuffed in a gunny sack was horrifyingly discovered at a cliff en route to Genting Highlands.
According to China Press, the body was first spotted by members of the public at around 1.15pm. The location was just some 2 kilometres away from the roundabout on the way to Genting Highlands.
Firefighters were called in to remove the dead body before the police took over.
It was understood that the victim’s hands were tied up and the body was stuffed in a white gunny sack. It appeared that the victim was assaulted on his neck and head by a blunt object.
The police also believe that the victim may have been dumped by the murderer from 15 metres above. The body was presumably supposed to fall all the way down the mountain but it got stuck at the cliff instead.
Since there was no identification documents on the dead body, the victim can only be described as a man in his 40s. The cause of death and identity can only be confirmed once the post-mortem results are out.
A K-9 unit was brought to the scene to look for more evidence. The police are currently still investigating whether the location aforementioned was the primary crime scene.
This news has garnered lots of attention on social media as Genting Highlands is a favourite spot for gambling and entertainment. Many netizens speculated that the incident could be related to gambling issues or an underground society. Let the police do their work, shall we?
Not so long ago, an elderly South Korean woman was brutally beaten to death in a hotel in Genting Highlands, and that incident too, shocked the entire nation.
It’s scary to think that a person was murdered and just dumped off the cliff like that. Malaysia may be a safe country according to a certain government official, but it seems like there’s still a lot of work to be done.
