Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has issued enforcement notices to business operators for erecting structures on public road reserves.
In a statement, DBKL said it conducted an integrated operation yesterday to demolish the unauthorised structures along Jalan Pantai Murni, Lembah Pantai.

DBKL takes action against business operators constructing unauthorised structures
The operation was carried out in collaboration with the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp).
According to DBKL, the action was taken after business operators failed to comply with prior warnings regarding constructing structures without approval.
“Previously, two enforcement notices had been issued in connection with the erection of structures on public road reserves. The action was taken against business operators who failed to comply by constructing structures without DBKL approval,” the statement read.

The city council added that the demolishing work was carried out under the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974, which prohibits the erection or construction of any structure or obstruction in a public place without written approval from the relevant authority.

DBKL also reminded the public that any complaints or feedback can be submitted through this link.
