With the election in the USA less than 2 weeks away, politicians have a lot to say about each other while making promises to the citizens on how America will be great again.
During the rally for Donald Trump yesterday (October 27), American political commentator and writer, Tucker Carlson had a lot to say about Kamala Harris, the current vice president since 2021 alongside President Joe Biden, and also the Democratic Party’s nominee for president in the 2024 election.
Tucker branded Kamala as a “Samoan-Malaysian” during his speech, and here’s what he said.
“It’s gonna be pretty hard for Democrats to look at us and say, ‘You know what? Kamala Harris, she got 85 million votes because she’s just so impressive. As the first Samoan-Malaysian low-IQ former California prosecutor ever to be elected president.”
To be clear, Kamala Harris has no Malaysian heritage. Kamala is a biracial woman whose father and mother are of Jamaican and Indian descent respectively.
According to the University of Colorado Boulder, Kamala has always spoken about how much she appreciates both cultures growing up.
During the rally, Trump and his wife, Melania, were also there. The couple even danced to the classic “YMCA song” during their exit, as reported by the Hindustan Times. Elon Musk, the co-founder of Tesla, also made a surprise appearance.
“Keep Malaysia out of your mouth”
The snippet of Tucker’s speech circulated on the r/malaysia Reddit page, where local social media users reacted to the inaccurate labelling of Kamala Harris as “Samoan-Malaysian.”
A netizen jokingly pointed out that it’s time to see if American politicians can figure out where Malaysia is on the map.
“No storms, no thunders, and suddenly we’re mentioned.”
