The Ministry of Health (KKM) has launched its new website where Malaysians can access daily Covid-19 data starting 6pm on 9 September.

Minister of Health Khairy Jamaluddin said that the website will provide updates on the latest developments of Covid-19 nationwide at 12pm every day and display “key data that is easier to understand and accessible to the general public,” reported Astro Awani.

The website called COVIDNOW, has a Home page where vaccination and Covid-19 statistics can be seen. You can also view more specific information in categories like Vaccination, Deaths, Ventilations, ICU, Hospitalisation and Cases from the different tabs at the top-right of the screen.

Additionally, you can view these statistics nationwide or according to each individual state using the drop-down menu at the top-left of the screen.

Khairy said that with the data and information shared on COVIDNOW and GitHub, he hopes the public will have a better understanding and awareness of the Covid-19 situation in the country.

He added that Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah will no longer give Covid-19 updates via daily press statements starting next week, as has been the practice since the pandemic began.

He also said that the ministry is working on making behavioural changes and enhancing standard operating procedures (SOPs) in order for the country to enter a new phase of learning to live with Covid-19.
