A scary incident took place in the heart of Kuala Lumpur on November 9, 2017 as a massive crane collapsed, leaving 3 people injured.

Astro Awani reported that the crane from the construction site in Kampung Baru suddenly gave way and fell from a great height. The construction was of a 44-storey apartment building.

According to the civil defence team, the three victims of the incident were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

One of them was a lady in her 30s who fell down and broke her shoulder while she was running away from the falling crane.

Another victim was an elderly person who suffered cuts from a shard of glass from a car that was crushed by the crane. The other victim was one of the construction workers.

A witness by the name of Abdul Rahman Mat Arif told the press about the chilling accident. He said that a part of the crane crashed into several vehicles and one of the cars had a person inside. So dangerous!

He told Astro Awani’s journalist,

“There was a ‘Pak Haji’ in the car and he was unconscious for a moment.”

The reason for this terrifying accident is still unknown. Authorities are still running investigations on the cause of the crane’s collapse.

In August 2016, the most horrifying crane-related incident took place in Bukit Bintang where a young woman was unfortunately and tragically killed when part of the crane, which weighed a whopping 1,000kg, fell and crushed her to death.

The incident shook the nation as the poor lady was actually just casually sitting inside her car and the crane crushed her through it. The saddest part was how the company was fined only RM40,000 for the incident!

We wish the three injured victim from this incident a speedy recovery!
