Concerts are often a life long dream for many fans as they would pour their entire lifetime savings just to obtain a ticket to watch their favourite artists and bands perform live.
Some fans would even go above and beyond the secure the best seats available, which are often categorised under the VIP section of tickets.
However, it seems that a number of Malaysian concertgoers weren’t too happy with the VIP seats provided during Westlife’s ‘The Wild Dreams’ world tour performance which took place at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil in KL on Thursday and Friday night.
In a TikTok video which has since gone viral, the video which was posted by a Westlife concertgoer showed the VIP seating arrangements provided during the concert, which consist of rows upon rows of “cheap” plastic chairs set in front of the stage.
They compared the plastic chairs to what you’d normally see provided at a kenduri or a typical Malaysian banquet, festival, public event or community meeting.
Naturally, people were a little upset over the arrangement as the prices for the tickets costed between RM294 to RM884.

One of the videos on the matter has since gone viral and currently sits on over 583,700 views. Plenty of netizens took to the comments section to make jokes about the seating arrangement.
“Is this a concert or are you waiting to pay your parking summons.”
“I thought you were waiting for the vaccine,” said a user jokingly.
“Did they do it at a police station,” another user commented.
