Recently, the story of an adorable couple from two different parts of the world melted netizens’ hearts.
According to SCMP, a 26-year-old woman named Pauline, who hails from France, fell in love with 27-year-old Sun Rezhi from China when she saw his impressive martial arts skills.

She first saw his impeccable wushu skills at a Chinese cultural exhibition in Paris back in 2012. Sun was living in Paris at the time as he was attending a business school there.
This couple first caught the attention of netizens when they were featured in the video of a Chinese blogger who lives in Paris. Pauline and Sun have both called the city their home as well.
Chinese netizens in particular were impressed by Pauline’s Mandarin as well!
Pauline learned Mandarin when she decided to follow Sun back to China when he was done with his studies. During her time there, she decided to enrol in a university course so she could learn the language and adjust to life in China.

It was in China where she found out that Sun’s mother was also a wushu master!
Pauline wanted to learn the martial art as well, since that was the reason she fell in love with Sun. Aww!
“As the old saying, when you fall in love with someone, you fall in love with his city too,” said Sun’s mother.

The couple decided to get married in 2015 in Nanjing, China. Soon after that, they had their official wedding ceremony in a small village just outside of Paris last July.
Pauline expressed that she obviously doesn’t love Sun just because of his martial arts skills, but she also loves him for his sense of humour, confidence, ambition and how respectful he is to her.

However, like any couple, they aren’t perfect either. Pauline complains that her husband always forgets to buy her flowers for Valentine’s Day, despite the fact that they live in the City of Love!
Well, we for one can tell their redeeming qualities outweigh the not-so-good ones. We wish the adorable couple a happy married life!
