A Chinese influencer flew to Cambodia to visit her boyfriend earlier this month and has not returned home at the time of writing.
She was scheduled to return to China on 13 November but lost contact with everyone on the 12th.

Her boyfriend, whom she claimed to be visiting in Cambodia, is also unreachable
According to Hong Kong media, she repeatedly mentioned on social media that she had booked a flight back to China for the 13th, and her IP address showed movements consistent with her plans, according to her family members.
A day before her supposed return, her phone became unreachable, and her boyfriend’s phone was also disconnected.
What raised concern further is that she did not enter China as planned, and customs records show no relevant information. Her family confirmed that before going missing, she was in a normal emotional state and had no conflicts with relatives or friends.

Her boyfriend, Long, claimed to run a restaurant in Sihanoukville, but the area is notorious for telecom fraud, leading netizens to question his profession.
After the incident was exposed, the influencer’s sister posted missing person notices on Douyin and Weibo and planned to seek support from the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Meanwhile, her friends and other online influencers also joined in spreading the missing person information, appealing to the Chinese community in Cambodia for clues and attempting to contact non-governmental rescue organisations.
