A month after the gruesome murder of Yap Shing Xuen, the victim who was stabbed in SMK Bandar Utama Damansara 4, her grieving mother penned a heartfelt post and took a trip down memory lane to reminisce on the good times.

After being occupied with Shing Xuen’s funeral, her mother recently had the space and time to process her feelings and said that she missed the times that her deceased daughter had spent with the family.

“It feels like a dream. Only after waking up did I realise painfully that I have truly lost her forever”

The mum also recalled how Shing Xuen would spend the time with the family during the weekends, only to realise that the moments would never come back. In her post, she also mentioned the plans that Shing Xuen was looking forward to, including for her birthday.

“We had planned to take her on a cruise in Guangzhou for her birthday. Tickets were bought.”

“We lost her, and her laughter,” the mother penned in a heartfelt Facebook post.

She also mentioned the plan of moving into a new house, which Shing Xuen was also excited about. According to the heartbroken mother, Shing Xuen had even designed the layout of the new bedroom, chosen the colours, and bought new bed sheets for the event.

The mother accepted the fate, saying,

“None of these is coming true. They are only regrets, and will forever remain a pain in our hearts.”

Shing Xuen was only 16, and the 14-year-old murder suspect has been sent for a psychiatric evaluation at a hospital, and the process may take up to three months. The suspect nodded when the charges were read to him in court.
