A family recently went viral on social media after kicking a Tesla at a parking lot in Kuala Lumpur.

In a viral Facebook post, the owner of the Tesla said the incident happened at the parking lot in Nexus Bangsar South on September 8 (Tuesday), around 10:28 AM. Based on CCTV footage, the family of 3 was seen coming out of the elevator and the man in white suddenly kicked the front part of the Tesla before casually walking away with his family, none of whom stopped to check on the car.

His vandalism did not stop there. Shortly after kicking the car, the same man returned to the vehicle and spat on one of the passenger doors at the back.

Little did the man know, his kick and spit were recorded on both the CCTV and via Tesla’s sentry mode which records everything that happens around the car, and alerts the owner when it detects possible threats nearby.

The owner mentioned that he lodged a police report on the same day. Unfortunately, the authorities could not take action as there was no physical damage to the Tesla.

“They allowed me to make a report but they wouldn’t open a file on this matter,” he said in his post.

He also mentioned that he would only take the video down if the family apologised publicly.

Meanwhile, social media users have been coming up with their own theories as to why the man kicked the Tesla. Some highlighted that there may be more to the story and that something might have happened before the incident.

On the other hand, other users have even managed to find the working address of one of the family members based on their car registration number in the CCTV footage.

WORLD OF BUZZ has since reached out to the owner for further comments, but we have yet to receive a response. As to why the man dared to vandalise someone else’s property, the reason remains a mystery at the time being.

How would you have handled the matter if your car was vandalised by perpetrators who were caught in the act?
