Dashcam footage of an accident on the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) has been circulating on social media recently, depicting how a driver went against traffic near the Jalan Tun Razak exit and crashed into another vehicle.
The video was reposted on various social media pages, including this post by the Inforoadblock Facebook page, with the incident believed to have taken place at 1.29pm on Monday (4 September) based on the timestamp of the dashcam recording.
In the video, a white car can be seen suddenly emerging on the right lane of the curved elevated road, going against traffic. The white car then crashed into a grey car which was using the right lane.
Both vehicles inevitably crashed as the grey car couldn’t possibly react in time to the oncoming white vehicle as the curved road made the driver only see it at the last second.
As the footage was quite low-resolution and the incident happened too fast, both vehicles’ brand and model can’t be precisely identified.
As the dashcam owner’s vehicle passes by the accident, the crash can be seen causing considerable damage to the front end of both vehicles.
