It’s kind of a running joke in both Malaysia and Singapore that people love to queue for things – from the latest limited edition fashion items to having the chance to eat some local Michelin-starred food. Most of the people who can afford to buy these items have the money, but not the time to queue in lines that can go on for hours. Plus, it gets really inconvenient after some time!

So, what’s the solution here? Hire people to queue for them of course! This is what a new start-up in Singapore is hoping that their company can do, by offering professional queuing services for a cost. While in the past this has mostly been done through freelancers in Singapore, iQueue hopes to change this.

The company was founded in May by two young entrepreneurs, Jeffrey Tan, 27 and Zin Nu Aye, 24 after they noticed that although Singaporeans love to queue for the latest items, they do not have sufficient time to do so.

According to Today, the company currently has 10 professional queuers made up of students and homemakers who are looking to earn some extra income. The company hopes that they can expand up to 50 queuers in the future. Side note: Putting professional queuer on your resume must be really fun!

Their rates start from S$20 (RM62) to S$250 (RM778), depending on the type of service and hours that you require. Interested customers will have to pay a 40% deposit first before paying the remaining 60% when they claim their place in the queue.

Not only that, the service promises to provide customers with live updates and photos every 15 minutes so you know that they aren’t scamming you! The founders said that other than helping customers save time and get the items they want, they also want to create job opportunities for people such as students, senior citizens and homemakers.

Now, we need this in Malaysia too, since iPhone 8 and iPhone X is going to launch soon!
