Those who haven’t caught up with the viral fight between a customer and the store owner in Penang will remember all the details (and we’re not just talking about the witness cat).

The customer who lost all 3 rounds of the 1-on-1 came in a white singlet and blue jeans. Aeon Retail Malaysia took the opportunity of the viral situation to market 1 of their products and as you may have guessed – a white singlet

“Comfortable to wear in any situation,” Aeon said in its caption in the picture.

Aeon also claimed that the white singlet can be worn anywhere, including to the grocery store. Well, it’s clear that Aeon is well aware of the situation.

“Buy 1 singlet free 1 helmet?”

Social media users, on the other hand, also took the time to poke fun at the situation, and each of them has their ways in telling how “well-equipped” they are about the chronology of the viral event.

“Do I have to bring my cat?”

“Don’t forget the helmet.”

“Can you do a promotion – buy 1 singlet free a helmet.”

“Don’t come for a 1-on-1.”

“Be a gentleman. Buy one free one.”

“This is the outfit of a loser.”

It seems that Aeon has learnt a trick or two from Mydin who have always been marketing their products by using the context of viral events. Just wondering, have any of you bought the white singlet?
