A viral video saw a group of people beating up a man believed to be an express bus driver at a parking lot.
According to the Malaysia Video Facebook page, the man was believed to be a bus driver stopping at RnR Gambang to eat. Witnesses of the incident said that the bus driver was beaten due to an earlier argument he had with a waiter at the number 6 stall of RnR Gambang.
In the posting, the driver wanted to order food from the waiter to which the waiter responded “be patient, pig!” (“Sabarlah, babi.”)
Angry, the driver responded saying “Don’t be short with me or I will slap you.”
Despite making the threat, the driver left the stall after finishing his meal only to be met with a group of individuals believed to be accomplices of the waiter. The video witnessed the group of individuals attempting to beat the driver, but to no avail as bystanders intervened to stop the quarrel.
The video which is currently making its rounds on social media, saw netizens condemning the stall owner for its decision to turn on its customers.
One netizen commented that the Gambang RnR is full of gangsters.
“If possible, bus drivers should avoid stopping at the Gambang RnR as it is full of gangsters.”
One commended the bus driver for refusing to hit back but merely deflected blows to avoid the situation from getting worse.
“Respect to the bus driver… He was trying to avoid escalating the situation.”
