Malaysians have the luxury of seeing a few skyscrapers standing still in the country, namely the Petronas Twin Tower (KLCC), KL Tower, TRX Tower, and more.
Regardless, on a parody and satirical Facebook page Visit Malaysia 2022 Goals, a picture of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, has gone viral for the wrong reasons.
You don’t need to visit the United Arab Emirates to know that you’re looking at the image of Burj Khalifa. However, the caption of the post jokingly stated that the building shown in the image was Merdeka 118 Tower in Kuala Lumpur.
In case you’re not aware, it is also known as the Warisan Merdeka Tower and it is currently the world’s second tallest building, standing at a height of 678.9 metres.
It did not take long for the image with the inaccurate caption to gain the attention of fellow Malaysians. Not only that they found it hilarious, but some have them have also come up with their own ‘inaccurate postings’ in the comment sections.
The portal MGAG commented with the image of Menara Telekom and joked that it was the Avengers Towers, as seen in the popular Marvel movies.
A netizen has since shared a familiar face and claimed it to be our very own ‘astronomer’, while another user posted the image of Stadium Melawati Shah Alam and dubbed it The Colosseum.
In the meantime, have you ever noticed that Bukit Bintang in KL resembles New York Times Square?
Brace yourself, ‘Le Tour De Malaysia’, which is actually the Basikal Lajak gang rides into the comment sections as well.
The comments have not only shown the creative sides of some Malaysians but the humour in them may also serve as a comedic relief on an otherwise dull day. If you have an idea of your own, feel free to share it!
