Most of the time online shopping is the best. But sometimes, it can be rather disturbing…

While most of Malaysia is still under the Movement Control Order (MCO), online shopping has been a saving grace for most. Online shopping has made it possible and easier for us to get almost anything delivered right to our doorsteps. However, it’s common knowledge that sometimes, buyers and sellers have misunderstandings.

Recently, a conversation gone wrong between an online seller and buyer was circulated on social media. This conversation then caught the attention of Malaysian stand-up comedian and emcee, Gajen Nad who shared it on his TikTok account and gave his opinion about it.

The conversation started with the buyer enquiring about the price for a pair of Fendi sandals. The buyer further explained that they wanted to get a men’s pair and a women’s pair.

The seller then replied asking, “What size do you want? This sandal is unisex, can be worn by men and women. Give me the size. I’ll get back to you after Friday prayers.”

So far so good right? Well, think again.

After the seller replied, the conversation took a dramatic turn when the buyer misunderstood what he said.

The buyer then angrily replied,

“F*** you! Why talk about sex? Stupid p**!

I will report you! I want to buy sandal not sex!

F*** you!”

We could only imagine what the seller’s reaction might have been. Who would have expected such a sudden turn of events!

Following the conversation, Gajen added that both parties could have avoided the misunderstanding if they spoke using one language.

At the time of writing, the post has garnered over 2,000 shares and 8,000 likes on Facebook and Tiktok, respectively. Of course, Malaysian netizens had a lot to say about this interaction.
