CCTV footage of a burglar has gone viral after he was given the fright of his life by a cat.
Based on a report by Kosmo, Twitter user @ainaarhn shared (in a since deleted post) the video showcasing her family home in Bukit Sekilau, Kuantan, as an unknown individual broke in.
She shared, “Have you ever seen a thief afraid of cats? Never? Well, I’ll show you right now.”
She added that the man had taken her handbag along with her wallet, and hopes that he will return her belongings to her.
“I want you to put my handbag and wallet in front of my house, no matter what happens, everyone is looking for you, before anything happens you better hand it back,” she said.
A police report has since been lodged and the evidence collected through the CCTV footage has been handed over to the police.
Many joked about thief’s behaviour, because he was brave enough to break into someone’s home but he is afraid of cats.
“It can be said that it is a embarassing ‘moment’ for a thief, showing his bravery by breaking into homes and stealing people’s things, but you yourself are scared of the adorable cat,” one netizen shared.
“You should feel lucky the home owner’s cat didn’t bite you, thief. Worried you’ll get sick from that shock (from seeing a cat), but you’re not afraid to be a thief,” another said.
