Many still can’t believe this guy is a member of the Parliament.

Datuk Bung Moktar is no stranger for coming up with ridiculous really ‘out there’ statements, and his latest one involved equating Malaysia’s prosperity to its citizens’ obesity.

According to MMO, the Kinabatangan MP claimed Malaysia is a blessed country as its people could afford to overeat. Aduh…

“This country, in terms of food, is the most blessed. Many people who had died, died from overeating.

“Many are obese, have diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart diseases because they eat meat everyday. They eat chicken meat everyday!” Bung said.

It was understood that the statement was meant to contradict the Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah who stated that our beloved country is not doing well in terms of economy.

As if Bung’s statement wasn’t ridiculous enough, he then volunteered to bring Opposition lawmakers to poor countries where food is scarce and the citizens have to scavenge for food. What point is he trying to prove?

As expected, when the news hit social media, netizens didn’t hesitate to slam him.
