Budget 2023: RM40 Billion Worth Of Loans & Financing For Micro, Small & Medium Businesses

The government has prepared multiple programs to help upgrade and champion small and medium business owners as well as female business owners.

During the presentation of the Belanjawan 2023 initiative, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that RM50 million has been set aside to help rebuild and renovate 3,000 hawker stalls and kiosks of small businesses.

On top of that, another RM176 million will be utilised to upgrade and build additional business units and premises.

 

Also, in order to help underprivileged Malaysians to run micro, small and medium enterprises, DSAI has also promised RM40 billion worth of loan facilities and financing guarantees.

This comes in the form of RM1.7 billion in loan facilities with BNM, BSN and TEKUN.

RM300 million will also especially go towards supporting women and youth micro entrepreneurs.
