Aww, this is very sweet!
Working in food-delivery service isn’t as simple as it looks; this is because the rider would have to brave the rain and shine to bring food to their hungry customers. And also unhealthy levels of haze.
Therefore, one Malaysian decided to go the extra mile to show his appreciation for the efforts of food-delivery riders by buying one rider lunch.
In a tweet, a netizen shared a picture of the receipt with a caption that read: “Hopefully, there are more customers like this.”
You can check out the tweet below:
In the receipt, the customer wrote a note to the rider asking if he had eaten and that he can have the food. The note said,
“Bro, have you eaten? Here, I bought you lunch; you don’t have to send it to my place. Once you’ve gotten the food, rest for a bit and fill your tummy.”
The receipt showed that the customer bought a McDonald’s meal (a McChicken medium set) for the rider. Such a considerate customer.
FYI, the tweet has now over 19,000 retweets and more than 17,800 likes.
Obviously, as the tweet went viral, netizens lauded the customer for his/her kindness and that he/her will be blessed with good things in life. Meanwhile, another netizen revealed that he’d usually order an extra meal or drink for the food-delivery man whenever he uses food delivery service.
On the other hand, one person shared that he once gave his food to the food-delivery man because he got nagged for having fast food and it was too late to cancel the order. He also urged for this practice (buying food for food-delivery workers) to be a norm. Good idea!
This such a great gesture by the customer, don’t you think? We applaud and praise the above-mentioned customer as well as everyone who have performed similar deeds. You, guys, are truly amazing!
On that note, I’ll leave you with these words of wisdom picked from the movie, Evan Almighty: “To change the world, we only need to perform one act of random kindness at a time.”
