Domestic abuses cases are not uncommon wherever we are, but each individual case makes our blood boil because abuse is wrong, regardless of the reasons behind the action.
A shocking case of domestic abuse had been reported on 19 December morning, when a neighbour was alarmed by the shouting of a woman. According to See Hua Daily, the police received a report at 9 am that morning, that a resident in Sungai Plan, Bintulu, heard shouts coming from their neighbour’s house.
The police headed to the reported house to check on the situation, and the gates were locked. So, they attempted to shout into the house, hoping to receive some kind of response in return, and they did. A woman’s shouting could be heard from the outside, and the police decided to enter the household by force.

Right when they entered the house, two terrified children were found in the premise. And the police followed the voice that was pleading for help, and they found a woman trapped inside a bedroom. What’s shocking was that a metal chain was chained onto her NECK and the other end was chained to the bed.
The intention was obviously to prevent her from escaping, thus the chain was only long enough for her to go to the bathroom! WTF. Not only that, but the woman was covered in wounds, which were a result of physical abuse.
The police quickly freed the victim from the chain and sent her to the hospital for treatments. Apparently, one of the children belongs to the victim and her ex-husband. And the current husband (aka abuser) had been abusing both the victim and his step-child. How cruel!

So far, it hasn’t been reported yet regarding the reason behind this cruel case. But no reason would be okay for someone to physically and mentally abuse anyone.
We feel so sorry for the victim and her child and we hope that her husband will be punished for the crimes he did! Also, kudos to the neighbour who is alert enough to notice that something wrong that was going on in the victim’s house.
