Rampant river pollution has affected Malaysians in more ways than one, yet factory owners are still doing it!

As if it is not enough that we Malaysians have suffered in the hands of irresponsible factories discharging waste into our rivers such as the Sungai Kim Kim fiasco and the recent Sungai Gong incident, a recent video that took social media by storm proves that until action is taken, these culprits will not change their ways.

Taking to Twitter, @buzz_zizi shared a video of how a chemical factory near his place of work is blatantly dumping chemical waste directly into the waterway.

“I am perturbed at the sight I saw coming from a factory near my workplace. When it rains, they will discharge chemical waste into the waterways.”

“Every time I report the incident to the Environmental Department, they are slapped with a fine, but continue doing it anyway.”

According to the Twitter thread, the discharge is believed to have come from a printer ink factory in the Batang Kali, Selangor area.

Disgusted by the sight that they are seeing, one netizen steped up and mentioned that a complaint can be made to the Environmental Department via https://eaduan.doe.gov.my/eaduan/index.php for further action.

Let’s hope that the authorities will take notice of this video and take necessary action before things get out of control again.
