On February 12, 2017, the bar offered these weird dishes to daring couples and any brave customers.

Although bugs aren’t common throughout Japan, some regional cuisines do include them.

Yuta Shinohara was the genius who came up with the bug cocktail night. This event was to promote an alternative food culture in the Japanese.

He told the press,

“I love insects and I think it’s really fun to eat them.”

One bold lady by the name of Sakumi Makino actually tried it out and explained the texture.

“They are crispy like the skin of walnuts and go pretty well with chocolate.”
