Women’s parking spaces are designated for women travelling alone for various reasons, with safety being a primary concern. But, much like women-only coaches, many Malaysians are still taking advantage of these benefits for their own gain.
A Malaysian woman recently took to her TikTok (@sachiyzmeen) after she decided to take matters into her own hands after she witnessed a couple parked at the ladies’ parking.
“I’m not sure if he understands what ‘ladies’ parking’ actually means”
According to the video, Yzmeen confronted the couple to remind them that the parking is designated for women travelling alone.
The caption of the post reads,
“People will never understand the consequences once they’ve experienced the dangers of being a lady walking alone in a carpark.”
She explained how, upon confronting the couple, the man told her that the woman (his girlfriend) was the one behind the wheels, not him.
“Please have some basic human decency”
In the caption, Yzmeen pointed out how the concept of “women’s parking only” loses its purpose when they arrive together in one car.
“I saw both of them parked and sitting in the car together, and he tried to claim, ‘My girlfriend is driving.’ It doesn’t matter who’s driving. Ladies’ parking is meant for women who come alone,” she wrote.
She also highlighted the importance of not being selfish, as such actions could put another woman at risk of being assaulted or even kidnapped.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Yzmeen stressed that every woman should always stay alert to their surroundings and not hesitate to speak up, as long as it’s done with the right approach.

I tried my best to say it nicely but deep inside i was boiling bcs i saw both of them parked and in the car together and he claimed “my gf is driving??” Tak kisah la sapa drive. Ladies parking means = if ure a lady, and you CAME ALONE then that parking is for you.
