Thailand has been known to spearhead the fight to legalise marijuana and as of now, medical marijuana is legal in the country with research labs as well as farms being opened to facilitate the whole thing. Thailand has taken the next step in embracing the benefits of the plant as a new cannabis bar is now open in Bangkok.

The 420 Cannabis Bar in Bangkok is able to serve CBD infused tea and snacks thanks to the new ruling that now allows weed to be used for commercial purposes by licensed entities. The  bar opened its doors on February 11, and customers can now chill while sipping on drinks with cannabidiol, or CBD, the cannabis plant extract believed to offer therapeutic effects without the high. As shared by the cafe on its page, the bar is…

“…the country’s first to offer a range of drinks, pastries, wine, beer and fruit juices that contain cannabidiol, or CBD, a substance from the cannabis plant that is said to offer therapeutic effects without getting users intoxicated. Cannabis’s tetrahydrocannabinol compound — commonly known as THC — is the psychoactive ingredient that gives users a high. But unlike THC, CBD is typically used to help reduce stress without the high.”

Apart from the delicious drinks, as reported by Coconuts, the cafe also offers CBD infused snacks such as baked pot leaf and spinach with cheese, CBD chocolate chip cookies and CBD brownies. More items will be added to the menu soon.  For more information, kindly visit 420 Cannabis Bar’s official page here.
