Okay, we all know how iPhones can cost a kidney. Okay not really but you get the point.

After the latest iPhone X was announced last month, Malaysians wondered how much it’d be going for. Well, the time is now, because Apple just released the price for it!

Malaysia’s Apple online store revealed the retail price of an iPhone X will start at RM5,149 – that’s for their 64Gb model. The iconic tenth anniversary iPhone then goes for a whopping RM5,899 for the 256Gb model.

The iPhone X only comes in two colour variations – silver, and space gray. One of the most notable changes done for this model is the removal of the home button, which is replaced by an edge-to-edge screen display.

Many Malaysians have pointed out that these prices are actually pretty steep compared to other countries. In US, their 64Gb iPhone X goes for $999 (RM4,200), while the 256Gb model is priced at $1,150 (RM4,850). Yes, that’s about a RM1,000 difference right there!

It’s safe to note that Malaysia’s iPhone X prices are similar to the one in Singapore, so you don’t need to waste your time by going all the way there for it.

So far, the Apple online store has yet to release the availability dates of the iPhone X, but judging from those prices, I’m not entirely sure if there’ll be many people still being keen on getting a crazy RM5,000 phone. If you are one of them who are getting one, don’t complain broke and later sell your kidney can already.
