MyJPJ users, this is good news! Anthony Loke announced that users NO LONGER have to register for the MyDigital ID.
The deadline to register for a MyDigital ID by October 10 to log in to your MyJPJ app has been scrapped, the minister of Transport said in a press conference yesterday (October 2). In response to the pop-up announcement that notified users to register for the MyDigital ID by October 10 to continue accessing the MyJPJ app, Anthony said the pop-up was NOT an official announcement.
“I’ve already instructed for the pop-up notification to be removed. The pop-up did not come from the ministry or the Road Transport Department (JPJ),” Anthony said.
He confirmed that users can log in to the MyJPJ app as usual without needing to register for an ID on any other app, and assured the people that the MyJPJ app will remain accessible easily.
Anthony acknowledged that he is well aware of the confusion and concerns regarding the use of the MyDigital ID, especially those highlighted on social media.
“After the Cabinet meeting today, we have agreed on integrating the digital identification system with the MyJPJ app through backend processes. We have reached an agreement that MyDigital ID will serve as a login for the MyJPJ app, but this must be implemented smoothly to avoid any issues for MyJPJ users.”
The minister of transport said the backend integration will take some time but as of now, the MyJPJ app is accessible as usual without the concerns about MyDigital ID.
