Yet another dog owner is currently in the spotlight for bringing their dog to a Halal, non-pet-friendly restaurant.

This time, the dog owner was spotted with his poodle on a chair next to him at a Mamak in Segamat, Johor. The #UpdateInfo X page shared a video of the incident.

The caption of the post reads, “A 24-second video has gone viral on social media, showing a dog owner bringing his pet dog with him to a Halal restaurant in Segamat Baru recently.”

In the video, the dog owner can be seen seated at the Mamak eatery with his poodle on the chair next to him. He then called over a waiter to have his plated food packed to be taken away.

Yes, no, maybe?

This incident has left people divided, as some believe the dog’s presence isn’t an issue (albeit not on the chair), while others strongly reject the notion.

“To me, bringing the dog along isn’t an issue. It’s just that, it has to be on a leash and not seated on the chair. Even caucasian people in the UK don’t do it like this.”

“I like dogs but this behaviour is rude and stupid. Please summon him, search until you find him, though the dog is not at fault.”

“Where is his brain? I think, even if this was a non-Muslim shop, the shop owner would not allow it.”
