A recent street interview with random foreign tourists in KL about what they think of Malaysia has left quite an impression on many of us, especially when some of them remarked that KL is like a “mini New York.”
An American TikToker, Lilith shared on her TikTok account @lilithinkl and expressed what she really thinks about the comparison between New York City and our very own KL. In response to a remark that said “KL is the New York of Asia”, Lilith did not spare her brutal honesty about what she thinks.
“Gross. No! That is an insult to KL!”
Those who have dreamed of going to New York or if you have at least pictured New York City as someplace more atas than KL, you might want to know why Lilith herself does not think that way.
“KL has everything mixed in there”
Lilith believes that KL is not only new and clean but also has a mix of modern and culture.
“And the infrastructre is good,” Lilith nodded and assured.
New York, on the other hand, does not share the same traits, according to Lilith. Just in case we have New Yorker readers here, you might disagree (or agree) with what Lilith thinks.
“New York is old, dirty, and they have rats with the size of cats!”
Have we been deceived by the Western media about the depiction of New York City?
Lilith made it clear that she was done listening to the “KL is the New York of Asia”, and called it “nonsense.”
“KL is the Wakanda of the world.”
She also mentioned how KL has seemed to be hidden from the world as if it’s an attempt to hide the good food that KL has in store. Lilith previously said that she has a “problem” with Malaysia because the food here is just too good for her. At the end of her clip which you can watch below, Lilith once again said that she has her eyes on the food in KL.
@lilithinkl My thoughts on New York versus Kuala Lumpur #newyork #kualalumpur #malaysia #kl #nyc
To those who have traveled to New York City, what do you think of New York VS. KL? Do both cities have something that have left you stunned and amazed?
