Taking to Twitter, a netizen recently shared his experience where he had booked and paid for a hotel which turned out to be empty and dark upon arrival.

Sharing his story, the netizen stated that he booked his room via an app only to find that the hotel he booked was CLOSED for the night.

“Just my luck. I booked and paid for this hotel only to find it closed, locked and empty,” wrote Raes.

He stated, “I called customer service and they told me they were only able to give their decision after 45 minutes. I had a long day and all I wanted to do was rest.”

In his thread, he explained that he chose this hotel in Nilai, because he did not intend to stay long and wanted to check out early in the morning.

“I booked a cheap hotel because I plan to check out early in the morning. Just my luck.”

Explaining later on that he checked in to another budget hotel, he also shared that he was refunded by the app.

Commenting on the tweet, several netizens slammed the hotel operator for offering sub-standard service, despite being a part of a notable hotel chain.

One netizen commented, “I’ve had my own bad experience with this hotel operator. I would suggest for you to write a Google review to help warn people about this hotel.

Let’s hope that the hotel operator will improve their service in the future to prevent such incidents from repeating.
