But have no fear as our security personnel are more than up to the task of ensuring that your worries are limited to bad food and rowdy tourists.
A Malaysian airport security personnel recently went online to share insight into his job giving netizens an insight into why you should do the things they tell you to do.
When reaching a security checkpoint, and security personnel will request you to strip down all your accessories including your belt.
But how
The security officer shares, “When an officer is performing a body search, passengers are required to remove their belts. Here’s why.”
The officer reveals a concealed blade in the buckle of the belt!
“This is why we ask passengers to remove their belts.”
His colleague recording the video responded that even normal looking belts can be deceiving
The video which lasted 44-seconds gives an insight on how devious criminals can get.
The next time you get on a flight, just remember – every rule put in place is there for a reason, but maybe except turning your handphone off at takeoff – the jury is still out on that one.
