While many of us are planning our dream weddings, booking a gorgeous venue, going for food tastings and picking out decorations, there are others out there who can’t even afford a simple wedding.
But, thankfully, with kindness, everything is achievable.
As according to Yahoo Philippines, a homeless couple, Rommel Basco and Rosalyn Ferrer, have been together for 24 years and even have six children. They live in a vacant lot in Pampanga, Philippines, and have been dreaming of getting married since they met.
Though, having a proper wedding has always felt like an unachievable dream for them due to their financial situation, they met a kind salon owner, Richard Strandz, who is now making their dream a reality.
Rommel and Rosalyn make a living by collecting and selling scraps, which is just enough to feed their family of eight. While collecting plastics, one day, they met Richard, who was moved by their love for each other and is now planning to pay for a church wedding for the two after they receive their marriage license.
“I found out about how the two have been living together for more than two decades but cannot afford a small wedding. I was touched by their love story so I contacted my friends who had a wedding supplies business and thought of surprising them with a charity wedding,” he shared.
With the help of some of his friends, they arranged a gorgeous bridal shoot by Rab4Love Studios, that has since been making waves on social media.
“True love is something that should be celebrated. It’s very special, no matter whether you’re rich or poor,” Richard added.
We’re so happy that this lovely couple is finally getting a wedding, as for richer or for poorer, your true love will always stand with you and that’s exactly what this couple has been doing for each other and for their family.
Congratulations, Rommel and Rosalyn!
