An adorable video has made its rounds on social media recently, showing the cute antics of a father-daughter duo which has left many Malaysians amused.
The video, shared by the father, @abuyybun on TikTok has garnered over 800,000 views and 75,800 likes on the platform in under 1 day.
The ‘autogate’ that becomes operational after 5 years
In the 23-second video, the daughter, presumably 5 years of age, can be seen wearing a pink Hello Kitty helmet after disembarking from the motorcycle ridden by her father as they reached their home.
The small girl then carefully and adorably opened the gate without being told by her father. Aww!
As the gate was fully opened, the girl held on to it and told her father to go inside with the motorcycle.
In the overlaid text of the video, @abuyybyn hilariously referred to his daughter as an automatic gate by asserting,
“Finally I can use the ‘autogate’ I made 5 years ago.”

Malaysians share their experiences with their own ‘autogates’
In the comments section, many Malaysians were amused by the video and shared their own experience with their ‘manual autogates’.
One commenter jokingly asked whether the ‘autogate’ took a long time to be completed as when he asked his ‘contractor’ the other day, she said it would normally take 9 months depending on the circumstances.
Meanwhile, another commenter joked that in another 10 years, @abuyybun’s ‘autogate’ will start to have her own voice and fight back when asked to open the gate.
