Many things can put a halt to weddings – from malfunctioning dresses, missing caterers, AWOL bride or groom, or your religious official, known locally as Tok Kadi, attending to an emergency of his own during solemnisation.

Not being able to put things at home off for a few minutes, the Tok Kadi was made to answer a phone call, mid-solemnisation because someone misplaced his house keys.

Probably giving a glimpse of what married life would be like, this Tok Kadi in Kelantan showed that no matter what you were doing, if your wife calls, you pick up.

Not willing to let go of his duties, the groom remained steadfast in his pose, while others were laughing away at what took place.

“Hello. Who’s this?”

Finally understanding that it was his wife calling, he went straight to the point.

“Are you looking for your house keys? I’m sure it is there somewhere.”

The video ended with everyone laughing and we basically have zero update on what happened next.

Let’s hope everything ends well for the loving couple. Congratulations in advance guys!
