Being a parent is no easy feat. And while many of us may not understand all the decisions our elders may make, it’s important to know that not all of it comes from fickleness.

A recent TikTok video has been making waves online after one Malaysian bride named Nabila shared a clip from her wedding day, of a moment where her husband and his twin reunited with their biological mother after not seeing her for an astounding 24 years.

In the emotional video posted to her page @nrulnbilaa, the video showed the groom’s mother approach him as he sat on the wedding dais. Holding his cheeks, the groom let out a stream of tears before hugging his mother tightly. Inciting an emotional response from others guests at the wedding as well, barely any person could hold in their tears while watching the duo interact.

Towards the end of the clip, the groom and his twin hugged their mother together before she bid them farewell at the ceremony. Before leaving, the mother also gave a hug and kissed Nabila on the cheek, congratulating her on the beautiful wedding to her son.

Speaking briefly with WORLD OF BUZZ, Nabila stated that her husband’s parents had split up when him and his twin brother were just a year and six months old. Sharing that his mother is from Indonesia, her separation from her children came after the couple decided to part ways.

“When my husband was 13 years old, he tried to find her online, and successfully did at 15 on Facebook. From there, he would contact her through WhatsApp or using his phone without meeting her face to face. After we got engaged, he invited her to attend our wedding ceremony. On that day, we met her for the first time,” said Nabila to WORLD OF BUZZ.

Garnering an emotional response online, many Malaysians were filled with nothing but tears in the comments section, expressing their hope that the trio of the groom, his brother, and mother, will get to spend more time with one another moving forward.

Multiple people also stated how clear it was from the video that the groom’s mother does indeed love her sons.

“Everyone has their own tale. But one thing is clear, this mother loves her children. It was just circumstances that were not ideal,” touchingly wrote another user.
