If you’re heavily relying on e-wallet to make most of your transactions, chances are you’ll know the anxiety of making sure you have sufficient balance in your account most of the time, especially before you drive through the tolls.

The lack of balance in your account brings a lot of unwanted troubles but this may soon be a thing of the past. China Press reported that Touch ‘n Go eWallet will be introducing a new feature in the application in the coming 2 to 3 months.

With the new feature, you can expect to make your payment even if you don’t have sufficient balance in your eWallet account! The best thing is you can even use your eWallet at the tolls in the country when you don’t have enough balance in the app.

This is probably a dream come true for many avid eWallet users.

Based on internal investigations by the company, they noticed that every TnG eWallet user has to reload their account about 4 to 5 times every month, and most of them tend to do so when doing a transaction. In an effort to save the need for frequent top-ups, the new feature will allow all users to spend first.

You can expect to use the new feature in multiple places.

“This function will support transactions for parking fees, tolls, online or offline shopping,” said the CEO of TNG Digital.

Here comes the important part – paying your bills!

Now, don’t worry about NOT having enough balance in your account when this new feature kicks in. Its purpose is to save you the trouble of frequent top-ups, and all you need to do every month is pay your bills.

Under the credit facility feature, all users will receive the bills at the end of every month.

“There will be no additional fees as long as your bills are paid in one lump sump within the allocated time.”

Is this feature similar to “buy now, pay later?” According to the CEO, not exactly.

“Buy now, pay later is mainly for specific merchants. Credit facilities are for all transactions channels that are supported by TnG e-wallets.”

This is certainly good news for those who have been wanting to save the hassle of frequently reloading their eWallet account. Are you a fan of this upcoming feature?
