Another shock for the day after our extremely high number of cases!

Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced via a Facebook statement today that the National Security Council has decided to announce a full lockdown consisting of the closure of the economic and social sectors across the country for 14 days starting 1 June 2021 until 14 June 2021.

During this period, ALL SECTORS are not allowed to operate except essential services and economic sectors.

He added that if the first phase is successful in reducing the number of Covid-19 cases, Phase Two will allow the opening of more economic sectors that do not involve gathering together in big groups. Phase Two will take place for four weeks after Phase One ends. Once Phase Two ends, Phase Three will be implemented. This phase will be similar to the MCO we’re going through right now. However, this is depending on the daily number of cases.

In the case of the closure of economic sectors, the Ministry of Finance will be providing financial aids for the rakyat and sectors that have been affected. An announcement regarding this will be made soon.

Stay tuned for more updates!
