Whoa, this is surely one lucky kid!
Khaleej Times wrote that a nine-year-old girl called Eliza M just won USD1 million (approx. RM4 million) in the Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion and apparently, this isn’t her first time. Prior to this, she won a McLaren Coupe car in the same promotion some six years ago (January 2013). Wowza!
Eliza who is an Indian national won the prize money with ticket No. 0333 in the draw that took place at Concourse B Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport. Obviously, the young girl couldn’t have bought the ticket on her own because she actually had some help.
According to the report, it was actually her father, M who bought the ticket under his daughter’s name. M was quoted as saying,
“I have been buying tickets for the USD1 million promotion since Series 43, and in fact, I have kept that ticket all this time. I never missed buying a ticket for every series including the Double and Multi-Millionaire Promotions.”
FYI, Eliza is the 140th Indian national to have won the prize money ever since the Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire was established in 1999.
That said, M has been making a lot of plans ever since he started buying draw tickets in the 43rd Series of the promotion but he hasn’t gotten the chance to realise those plans as luck wasn’t on his side. However, it looks like now he will be able to make those plans come true!
Well, this is just great! We would like to congratulate both father and daughter as well as the other winners for bagging some amazing prizes in the promotion.
