If you’ve got strict parents, chances are you’ve attempted sneaking out of your house at least once.
For nine-year-old Muhamad Haimin Hadol Fadli however, his plan of sneaking out while his parents were not home proved to be unsuccessful because he got caught – not by his folks, but literally by the door grill of his house! Kantoi, either way!
His parents were away at work and had locked the house to prevent him from roaming around in their absence. But that didn’t stop the boy from rebelling against them obviously.
Utusan reported that the awkward incident took place at the Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Kampung Baru Hicom residential area, at about 11am. A neighbour who noticed this, immediately called the boy’s parents to alert them.
Shortly after, about seven firemen rushed to the scene to help the boy, according to Shah Alam Fire and Rescue Station chief Azmel Kamarudin. He said,
“Upon arrival, they found the boy stuck in between the lower part of the door grill. The team also learned that his parents had locked him inside to prevent the boy, who is their only child, from roaming outside.”
As such, after carefully assessing the situation, he said the firemen rescued the boy by using a hydraulic cutter to cut open the door grill. He added,
“The entire process took five minutes.”
Thankfully, the boy was safely released without suffering any injuries. Kudos to the firemen for their prompt action!
If it were me, I’d probably rather die at the embarrassment before having to face the awkward situation of my parents coming home!
