According to a statement, Mohd Azmir explained that at approximately 10:30 AM, two men on a motorcycle approached the woman while she was in front of her house.

The complainant said that one of the men snatched a bracelet from her left wrist and also yanked at the necklace she was wearing.

“She was burning trash in front of her house at Kampung Paloh Rambai, Ketereh, Kota Bharu, when two unknown men on a motorcycle came up to her,” he added.

Mohd Azmir added that the complainant struggled with the suspects to defend herself, but was subsequently dragged along the road, leaving her with injuries.

The suspects, however, managed to flee the scene, and efforts to track them are ongoing.

“Police are urging the public to stay alert and avoid showing off valuables to prevent becoming a target of snatch thieves,” the Kota Bharu district police chief stated.

The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code.
