Made from ropes, wood (some that have been washed up on shore) and metal pulleys, it is truly a unique thing to see for yourself. Fun fact: It was originally used by lobster fishermen!
You sit on the gondola and the people will use their strength to pull you across from one side to the other. As you travel to the other side, you’ll be captivated by the gorgeous views of the surroundings and the waters below.

On the rocky seaside of Senggigi Beach in Lombok, you’ll find Pura Batu Bolong. It is a small Hindu temple that is named after a rock with a hole in it, hence the name “Batu Bolong”.
At the tip of the headland is an empty chair which actually represents Brahma, the Hindu God of Creation. Pretty cool, right? What makes this location great is that you will have a spectacular view of the sunset, so we’d recommend getting there with ample time for you to do so.

Water sports can really tire you out sometimes, so why not take a moment to relax and enjoy the ocean air? Situated by Seminyak Beach, La Plancha (aka ‘The Grill’ in Spanish) offers beach bums a pleasant retreat. As the name suggests, their menu also consists of grilled selections like fresh local seafood (yum!) and Spanish dishes Tapas style.
The colourful beanbags on the beach are great but if that’s not your thing, there’s also the tables and benches under equally mesmerising beach umbrellas or Moroccan style lanterns which frames the sea view beautifully. Don’t forget to have a drink to sip on too!
