59yo Becomes 4th Malaysian to Climb to the Top of the 7 Highest Peaks in 7 Continents!

The Jalur Gemilang was flying high at the top of Mount Everest at 10:30am local time (12:45pm Malaysia time) on May 22 (Monday)!

This is due to a Malaysian man who had the become the 4th Malaysian to successfully climb all 7 highest peaks in 7 continents.

Zeroto8000 K2 2023 took to their Facebook page to showcase 59-year-old RJ Nagarajan who had completed the mission known and the ‘World 7 Summit’.

They wrote, “The World 7 Summit is one of the highest achievements in the world of climbing.”

 

He who is more affectionately known as RJ or Rajan, had successfully climbed:

  • Mount Aconcagua in Argentina (at a height of 6961 meters – which is the highest peak in the South American continent)
  • Mount Denali in the United States (at a height of 6194 meters – which is the highest peak in the North American continent)
  • Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania (at an altitude of 5895 meters – which is the highest peak in the African continent)
  • Mount Elbrus in Russia (at an altitude of 5642 meters – which is the highest peak in the European continent)
  • Mount Vinson in the Antarctic (at an altitude of 4892 meters – which is the highest peak in the Antarctic continent)
  • Mount Kosciuszko in Australia (at an altitude of 2228 meters – which is the highest peak in the continent of Australia)
  • and finally, Mount Everest in Nepal (at a height of 8848 meters – which is the highest peak in the continent of Asia and the world)

 

“In fact, RJ Nagarajan has also completed 2 more mountains, namely Mount Mont Blanc in France, at a height of 4810 metes and Puncak Jaya in Irian Jaya (West Papua – Indonesia), at a height of 4884 meters”.

“It took him 7 years since 2016 to complete all the climbs,” they added.

RJ, who is also a climber from the ZEROTO8000 team, shared that his climbs are to convey the message of Malaysia’s spirit of self-reliance in pursuing dreams and creating success.

“According to him, every Malaysian should strive to be independent in creating success in various fields.”

“He himself did all these climbs by working hard to collect his own funds and now, it is proven that he has succeeded and this spirit is being instilled in the minds of Malaysians by ZEROTO8000, not only in climbing activities, but in whatever dreams they have.”
