Honesty has and will always be the best policy when faced with situations surrounding the belongings of other people.

Thankfully, there are still good Malaysians out there who live by this rule.

Kapit Bus Express took to their Facebook page to shine a spotlight on the good deed of one of their bus drivers in Sarawak. The bus driver had found a bag that was left behind by a passenger and led the way towards its safe return.

They wrote, “The passenger (Encik Wellington) had forgotten to take his bag with him and left it on the bus. Encik Dian (our driver) stumbled upon the passenger’s bag on his seat in the bus.”

“After finding the passenger’s bag, Encik Dian immediately brought the bag to the counter and asked me to contact the passenger immediately. After getting the passenger’s number from the company’s system, I kept calling the passenger to get his bag from the Sibu ticket counter.”

It’s safe to say that the passenger was relieved to retrieve the bag that he had accidentally left behind.

“Encik Wellington was very happy after his bag was returned and praised the driver’s honesty. At Kapit Bus Express, we really appreciate the team’s honest and responsible attitude. With this, passengers can feel confident in our company,”

“Encik Dian’s character should be commended.”

And indeed, it should!

Kudos, Encik Dian, for showing us that there are still good people out there!
